Glass Marcano is a Venezuelan conductor who began her musical journey in El Sistema, Venezuela’s renowned music education program. Initially trained as a violinist at the Conservatorio de Música Blanca Estrella de Méscoli, she later discovered her passion for conducting. She studied under Teresa Hernandez and Alfredo Rugeles at the Universidad Experimental de las Artes, graduating in 2017.

Her breakthrough came in 2020 when she was selected as a finalist at the La Maestra Competition in Paris, where she won the Orchestra Award. Since then, she has conducted numerous prestigious orchestras across Europe and Latin America, including the Orchestre de l’Opéra de Tours, Orquestra Gulbenkian, and the Paris Mozart Orchestra. A notable highlight was her 2022 tour with the Chineke! Junior Orchestra, performing at major venues including the Lucerne Festival and Amsterdam Concertgebouw.

Beyond music, Marcano completed her law degree at the Universidad Central of Venezuela in 2022. She continues her conducting studies at both the Paris Conservatoire and the Universidad Nacional Experimental de las Artes of Venezuela.
